Driver Killed After SUV Hits Virginia Home

Prince William County police said the residents inside the home were able to escape without injury

One person was killed after a car crashed into a Virginia home Friday afternoon, Prince William County police said.

The driver crashed into a garage attached to a home in the 13200 block of Catharpin Valley Drive in Gainesville, officials said. Responding firefighters arrived to find the car and residence fully engulfed in flames.

The driver was found inside the vehicle in the garage and pronounced dead at the scene.

Prince William County police said the residents inside the home were able to escape without injury. A dog was also found dead inside the residence.

The victim has not been identified.
