D.C. Beltway Open in Both Directions After Earlier Closure

Both directions of the D.C. Beltway have reopened at Van Dorn Street after they were shut down due to an electrical pole fire.

Police diverted traffic as crews worked to electrical lines may fall onto the roadway. 

Dominion Virginia Power repored more than 2,000 people in the area were without power, but that number has decreased to 200.

It is not known what caused the electrical pole to catch fire.
