Armed Robbery at Dumfries CVS

A CVS in Dumfries, Va. was reportedly robbed of pain medication at gunpoint on Thursday.

Police responded to the CVS, located at 16712 Jefferson Davis Highway, at 12:23 p.m. yesterday. An employee told police that a man entered the store, pulled out a handgun and demanded pain medication.

The man then fled the scene with the stolen medication, though it is unknown whether he left on foot or in a vehicle. There were no reported injuries.

The suspect was described as a six-foot, 160-pound black male between 15 and 20 years old with a thick build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white sleeves, blue pants, sneakers with black laces, and sunglasses.

Police deployed a K-9 and helicopter in an attempt to locate the suspect.
