UPDATE: Franklin Uceda-Mercado has been found safe, police say.
Police are searching for a 9-year-old boy who has gone missing in Prince William County, Virginia.
Franklin Uceda-Mercado voluntarily left his family's apartment in the 7400 block of Prince Charles Ct. in Manassas about 8 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Franklin could be in the area on foot or riding his bicycle.
He is described as a Hispanic boy who is 4 feet 10 inches and weighs 80 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, dark jeans, black socks and white and black sandals.
