It's last call for D.C. residents who want to participate in the city's green roof program.

The city is paying residents up to $12,000 to offset the cost of putting a green roof on their homes.

Green roofs help control rainwater runoff so it doesn't pollute rivers and the Chesapeake Bay.

The applications have to be in by Jan. 15.

To see if your home qualifies go to the D.C. Greenworks Web site.
