Starting from the top all the way down they need to take heed a reduction in wages*, benefits**, and remodel their structure, production, and overall operations. If they're not willing to wake-up and be more flexible, especially during this economic downturn, then they don't deserve a government bail-out. Well, the auto trade unions have flatly refused to renegioate their contracts and refuse to help with "give backs". If the unions aren't willing to help their own industry, why should the American Public? The workers, middle management, and top management should all be willing to save themselves by an across the board 30% reduction in wages and benefits andto end all bonuses for at least 3 years if THEY want to save their industry.
