Amtrak Service Between Philadelphia, DC Resumes; Delays Expected

Two freight cars overturned under an Interstate 95 overpass in Pennsylvania

If you had plans to travel to Philadelphia by train Thursday morning, you may experience some delays.

Two cars on a Norfolk Southern freight train derailed under an Interstate 95 overpass in Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania, temporarily suspending service between Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Service has resumed, but Amtrak says riders can expect significant delays throughout the morning due to a reduced number of available tracks.
