John Wall Expected to Be Out for Weeks After Knee Procedure

Washington Wizards star John Wall is expected to miss at least six weeks because of ongoing problems with his left knee, NBCSports Washington's Chris Miller reports.

Wall is set to undergo a procedure Wednesday to reduce swelling. The Wizards say information on the timeline for Wall's return will be released after he has the procedure, an arthroscopic debridement.

Wall is likely to miss the NBA All-Star Game in February, Miller reports.

Wall has missed multiple games because of the knee injury. He told News4 last month he was doing all he could to hustle his way back.

“I'm great. I'm doing good,” he said in his first public comments since undergoing injections to help relieve inflammation in his knee. “Just taking it day-by-day and getting treatment every day, walking on the [anti-gravity treadmill] and doing light jogging. I'm doing good.”
