Counter Intelligence: Peek at the First Sex Theme Park

See the world's first sex theme park and check out our list of must-reads that will have you chatting at the lunch counter, over IM or wherever it is that people actually talk these days.

  • The world's first sex theme park is scheduled to open in China. "Love Land" has sex installations -- including a revolving model of a woman's legs and lower torso in a red thong and an oversized statue of genitals -- and will offer sex technique workshops. Residents described the park as "vulgar" and are trying to block its opening. Park proponents argue they are trying to improve sex education.

  • Tapping into consumer anger is all the rage in advertising. The latest ad spots are much more negative than advertisements of yore, experts say, as companies try to show empathy for cash-strapped consumers. Some examples include a Miller High Life ad shows a man stealing beer from a high-end bar he thinks is overpriced. JetBlue even encourages CEOs without private jets to fly on the airline.

  • Rahm Emanuel may be known as "Rahmbo" to White House insiders, but the president's chief of staff has a pretty dull Secret Service name: Black Hawk. Emanuel was given the name during the Democratic National Convention and he decided to keep it after President Obama won the election.

  • Activists fed up with auto warranty robo calls are striking back at the companies that target them. One lab tech began blitzing the company calling him with voice messages of a recording of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." Some even threatened arson.

  • Neumont University in Utah is geek heaven. But the social scene is a bit dull. Everyone is a computer science major -- but the school is now offering courses on social skills. The school has also launched clubs and public speaking classes to improve their students' ability to interact in social settings.
