Woman Pinned Beneath Metrobus in Arlington Sues WMATA for $25M

The woman who was struck and pinned beneath a Metrobus last month in Arlington, Virginia, is suing the transit agency for $25 million.

The victim was struck March 24 in the intersection of 15th Street and Eads Street South. According to the lawsuit filed Tuesday, the victim had the right-of-way and was in a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a bus making a right turn.

The woman was extricated and transported to a trauma center. Her attorneys said she suffered a concussion, a broken arm, multiple "crush injuries" to her left leg and a broken foot.

According to the lawsuit, the victim, who worked as a personal trainer and a bartender, is still recovering at a hospital.
