A woman was struck and pinned beneath a Metrobus Thursday night in Arlington, Virginia.

Police were called to 15th Street at Eads Street South in the Crystal City area about 10:20 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim pinned under the bus.

The woman, Tina Glennie, was extricated and transported to a trauma center. While she is expected to recover, family members say she has a long way to go.

Glennie is reportedly recovering in the George Washington University hospital, having gone through surgery for a broken arm and leg. A GoFundMe page has been established to help with medical expenses.

Information on what preceded the crash was not immediately released.
