Police Look for Youth Soccer Thief

Man allegedly stole trailer full of soccer equipment

Montgomery County Police are looking for a man suspected of stealing a trailer full of soccer equipment.

Mark Lynn Cecil, 38, of College Park, Md., stole a portable utility trailer containing soccer goalposts, nets and metal spikes, investigators said. The trailer is owned by Montgomery County Soccer Incorporated.

Cecil allegedly tried to sell the stolen goods to a recycling company in Howard County, on three separate occasions. On the third occasion, he was turned away.

Cecil is described by investigators as a white male, six foot tall, weighing 170 pounds. He has short brown hair and hazel eyes. He is driving a white Ford van with Florida license plate number MTS88, and may be towing a white portable utility trailer with Maryland license plate number 802922G, police said in a statement.
