First Day of Summer: Winning with Watermelon

Doug Kammerer celebrates the #FirstDayOfSummer on the front lawn of News4! He talks with Jennifer Sondheimer, an Air Force veteran and a graduate of Stratford University, about how feeding her military family led her into a career in food. Sondheimer won a title for her watermelon recipes at the Giant National Capital Barbeque Battle last year. The yearly Barbeque Battle, coming up this year on June 25 and 26, benefits the USO.
