For those enjoying the cool weather, you have Friday and Saturday. For those wanting another summer preview, Sunday and early next week still look plenty warm.
For those needing rain … you're mostly out of luck. Rainfall has been hard to come by over the last three weeks. There will be a chance for some passing showers Saturday, but rainfall amounts, if we get any, will be 0.10" or less. The next few chances after that will come in the form of scattered afternoon showers/thunderstorms on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of next week.

Our average highs are now climbing into the low 70. However, Friday and Saturday will stay about 10° below average, with a fair amount of sunshine Friday and very little sunshine Saturday. Saturday's rain chance is coming with the passage of a warm front that will bring summer-like warmth back into the region.
Highs will jump to 10° above average on Sunday and could challenge 90° on Monday and Tuesday. The records for Monday and Tuesday are 89°/86° at Dulles and 91°/92° at Reagan National. On average, D.C.'s first 90° of the year comes on May 19, but 90° has been reached in April as recently as 2017. The earliest 90° in D.C. was March 22, 1907.
