A Chihuahua with a missing eye and a hunched back won the World's Ugliest Dog Contest Friday night at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, Calif.
Princess Abby, who belongs to Kathleen Francis, of Clearlake, was named the winner before a crowd of more than 3,000 spectators and took home $1,600 for the title.
Princess Abby was rescued from the streets by the Lake County Animal Care & Control five months ago and then adopted by Francis.
"She's my best friend," Francis said in a prepared statement. "Abby's done more for me than I've done for her."
