The Nationals’ Double-A affiliate led 2-0 with top prospect Cade Cavalli on the mound. Cavalli showed the potential that made him Washington’s first-round pick in 2020 by tossing six innings with one run (none earned) on five hits, two walks and seven strikeouts. Keister was promoted from the Nationals’ Single-A affiliate last offseason. The Senators are 25-45 so far this year.
