D.C. UNITED vs. PHILADELPHIA UNION: WHAT TO WATCH

The Union are coming off a 1-0 loss to FC Dallas, which marked their second loss in the last three matches. A five-match winning streak preceded Philadelphia's recent skid, so it's more than likely they'll get back on track sooner rather than later. At 13-9-4 (48 points), the Union have a five-point lead over Montreal for the top seed in the East.

D.C. United hasn't had a great stretch recently either, though they've played in some close matches as of late. They challenged LAFC, the best team in the league, to a 1-0 loss last week and worked a draw against New York Red Bulls in early August.

D.C. UNITED vs. PHILADELPHIA UNION: PLAYERS TO WATCH

Taxi Fountas, Forward, D.C. United (11 goals, 1 assist in 18 appearances): One bright spot of D.C. United's down year has been the play of Fountas, the only player given All-Star honors this season. He leads the club in goals and often is the only bright spot of their attack--he'll need to continue to play like that to have a shot at a victory against Philadelphia.

Andre Blake, Goalkeeper, Philadelphia Union (26 games, 10 clean sheets, 20 goals against): Blake has been a steady presence in net for the Union since he became their full-time starter in 2016. He's off to another strong start this season and will be tough to score on from D.C. United's perspective.
