DC mayor proposes big cut to emergency rental assistance program

As D.C. leaders wrestle with balancing the city’s budget while facing an almost $1 billion shortfall, one of the programs the mayor targeted for a massive cut is an emergency rental assistance program she says is being abused by people who don’t really need the help.
