Clinton Rallies for O'Malley in Maryland

With less than two weeks until election day, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley got a big boost from former President Bill Clinton.

Former President Bill Clinton, in Maryland to boost voter enthusiasm for Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley, has rallied with the governor and other state officials at Federal Hill Park overlooking Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

The former president was in Maryland on Thursday just before early voting begins for the state's general election.

Clinton said he couldn't understand why O'Malley was in a competitive race with former Republican Gov. Robert Ehrlich when Maryland schools have received a top ranking in a national education publication and O'Malley has kept a tuition freeze at public colleges during the last four tough years.

Clinton also said O'Malley's stewardship has helped the state weather the recession better than others in preparation to recovery.
