Coach Blake Shelton opened Monday night's episode of "The Voice" alongside country superstar Ashley Monroe, as the duo performed their new song "Lonely Tonight."
For the first hour of the semifinal episode, the singers performed tunes selected by their coaches in hopes of earning a place in the #VoiceTop3.
Damien kicked off the semifinals with a soulful performance of Michael Jackson's "She's Out of My Life," recommended by coach Adam Levine.
"That's one of the most perfect performances I've heard on that stage, dude," Shelton said.
Craig Wayne Boyd sang "Workin' Man Blues," a pick from his coach Shelton.

"That's the kind of performance you see from someone who knows exactly who they are, and knows how to go up there and have a good time," coach Pharrell Williams told Boyd.
Gwen Stefani asked Taylor John Williams to sing "Falling Slowly" by The Swell Season, made famous in the movie "Once."
"I always knew that you were a pure artist," his coach told him.
Matt McAndrew, another Team Adam contestant, performed Foy Vance's slow-burning gospel number "Make It Rain."
"You can do literally anything," Levine told him. "There isn't anybody that can do that other than Matt McAndrew. You blow me away."
Rounding out the first hour, fellow Team Adam singer Chris Jamison debuted "With Sugar," a new single from his coach's band Maroon 5.
"When you go there with your falsetto, it's like the party starts," Shelton said.
For Damien's second song, he performed "I Don't Wanna Wait" by Paula Cole.
"What a phenomenal voice, what an incredible spirit," coach Williams said.
For his second performance, McAndrew belted out U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" to a standing ovation from the coaches.
"Dude, I can tell you right now, Bono would be so happy and so proud of you for handling that performance," Williams told him. "You killed it."
Boyd returned to the stage with a performance of the gospel song "The Old Rugged Cross."
"You gave one of the most passionate, epic vocal performances I have ever heard," his coach Shelton told him.
Taylor John Williams sang "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift for his second performance, earning cheers from the audience that lasted well into his coach's comments.
For the night's final performance, Jamison sang an electric rendition of "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars.
"That was my favorite performance that you've done on this show," Stefani said.
The episode also featured short videos about the contestants' returning to their hometowns.
Damien returned to his home in Monroe, Louisiana, by way of Los Angeles International Airport, where he worked as a TSA officer.
"I'm walking through LAX, and I see all my friends cheering for me," he said. "It's a moment I'll never ever forget."
McAndrew visited with his mom at Penn Veterinary Hospital, where a crowd of cheering fans surprised them. He was also interviewed at NBC 10's Philadelphia studios.
Boyd was reunited with his son and his parents during his visit home. He also returned to his old stomping grounds, Nashville's Crazy Horse Saloon.
"Holding my son for the first time in a few months was a reminder of why I do this," he said.
Williams returned home to Portland, Oregon, where coach Gwen Stefani interrupted his first radio interview and announced he would be opening for The Authors at Seattle's Deck The Hall Ball.
Jamison flew home to Pittsburgh, where he enjoyed an emotional homecoming with his family at his childhood home.
The #VoiceTop3 will be revealed on Tuesday night's episode, beginning at 8/7c.
