In Leaked Memo, Trump Lawyers Argue He Can Pardon Himself

A memo from President Donald Trump’s legal team to special counsel Robert Mueller obtained by The New York Times claims that, as the nation’s top law enforcement officer, the president cannot obstruct justice, may shut down any investigation and even pardon himself. Still Rudy Giuliani, one of the president’s attorneys, says Trump would never pardon himself or shut down the Russia investigation.
