Hoverboards Under Scrutiny After Fire-Related Incidents

The federal government is cracking down on hoverboards. Hoverboards have been implicated in at least 50 fires in 24 states. The Consumer Product Safety Commission thinks the problem is how the devices’ lithium-ion battery packs interact with circuit boards inside the units.
