Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds died Thursday at the age of 82. Known for his iconic roles in movies such as “Smokey and the Bandit” and “Deliverance,” the actor was nominated for an Oscar for his role in “Boogie Nights.”

Wrestler Mick Foley said meeting him made it feel like Christmas morning. Arnold Schwarzenegger called him a trailblazer. Dale Earnhardt Jr. tweeted simply: “Stroker Ace was born to race.”

In Hollywood and beyond, friends and fans took to Twitter on Thursday to remember Burt Reynolds, the actor who died at age 82.

Reynolds crossed paths with many stars in his long Hollywood career, but according to many he was among those who shone the brightest.
