When American farmers battle climate change, you feel the pain at the grocery store checkout

Extreme weather, driven by climate change, has cost American farmers more than $100 billion dollars in the last two decades. That’s one of the main reasons grocery prices have shot up 25% in the last four years. National climate reporter Chase Cain talked with the USDA’s chief scientist about how they’re working to help farmers cope with the reality of climate change.
