FBI Director Denounces Using Xenophobic Names for COVID-19

FBI Director Christopher Wray was asked on Tuesday if referring to COVID-19 by xenophobic, China-related names popularized by former President Donald Trump was fueling anti-Asian violence in the country. “I can assure you that’s not language that I would ever use, and hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders is something that we are concerned about,” Wray said.
