Businesses Reopen After Water Main Break Repaired

Yet another water main break in Prince George’s County — but this break only affected 20 customers, most of which were restaurants and businesses.

Several Prince George's County restaurants and businesses can now open after a water main break kept them closed Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The 24-inch main burst early Saturday on Branchville road in College Park. The Washington Suburgan Sanitary Commision said the main was repairs and water was back on shortly before noon Sunday.

Crews had been working to fix it since it was discovered, but about 20 customers went without water including many of the businesses surrounding Beltway Plaza.
