Va. Woman Sexually Assaulted While Sleeping

A woman thought her husband was crawling in bed with her over the weekend, but he was on the couch. It turned out to be a stranger, who sexually assaulted her before running away. News 4’s Pat Collins reports from Manassas.

A Manassas woman reported she was sexually assaulted in the middle of the night early Sunday morning while inside of her home.

According to police, the assault occurred just after 4:40 a.m. in the woman's bedroom. She told police she initially thought her husband was getting inside the bed, then quickly realized it was a stranger. 

Police say the suspect likely entered through an unlocked door. No description of the suspect has been released.
