Two men were killed when their ATV crashed in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

The single-vehicle crash happened sometime between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 a.m. Thursday, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said in a release.

The sheriff's office identified the victims as Timothy Cook, 58, of Fredericksburg, and Michael Poole, 51, of Camarillo, California.

A family member found them Thursday morning in the driveway of the home on Spotswood Furnace Road. Relatives attempted life-saving measures before rescue workers arrived, but both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation. Authorities said alcohol appeared to have been a factor.
