Two people are in life-threatening condition and two others are in custody after a home invasion and stabbing in McLean, Virginia. And we’ve learned those involved not only know each other but are all lawyers. News4’s Darcy Spencer has more on the investigation from McLean.
Sources told News4 a violent home invasion in McLean, Virginia Sunday evening stemmed from a workplace dispute.
Police were called to the 900 block of Spencer Road just before 10 p.m., where they found a woman and a man, both 61, suffering from stab wounds.
The man had answered a knock at the home's door when he was stabbed. The woman heard the commotion, went to the door and was also stabbed. Both are in serious condition at a local hospital.
Police say they have two suspects in their early 30s, a woman and a man, in custody. Sources say all four individuals involved are lawyers, and the female suspect had recently been fired, creating a possible motive for the violent home invasion.
