POLICE: WOMAN USED KIDS IN THEFT ATTEMPTS
Free Lance-Star: "A Stafford County woman is accused of enlisting the help of three girls in an ill-fated shoplifting venture Friday night.
Sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy said Deputy Jim Fouts went to Kohl’s in Stafford Marketplace in North Stafford at 9:15 p.m. in response to a shoplifting call.
A 25-year-old woman and two girls—ages 12 and 13—were in custody."
LIGHTNING RAVAGED CIVIL WAR BARN REBUILT BY AMISH CONSTRUCTION CREW
Loudoun Times: "A well-placed lightning strike lit a Middleburg barn on fire last year—burning it to the ground. But now, with help from an Amish construction crew, the barn is on the way back up.
“We build barns, that’s what we do,” Amish construction foreman Moses Reihl told the Times-Mirror, as he and a crew of his workers were busy assembling pieces of the barn on Jan. 10.
Reihl looks like he came from another place and time. His long, flowing beard and straw hat rustled in the frigid wind. His suspenders ensured his outfit stayed in place. His workers listened."

So how to account for what happened Thursday night? A new reality show threw one of those made-for-TV parties where half the guests are miked up and the cameras are all up in your face poised for the next gaffe - and yet some uber-serious Washingtonians showed up. Willingly."
GEORGE HUGUELY HEARING POSTPONED
WTOP: "A preliminary hearing for a former University of Virginia lacrosse player accused of killing a women's lacrosse player has been postponed to a date still to be determined.
George Huguely waived his right to appear by video at a brief hearing Monday morning in Charlottesville General District Court. Additional charges of felony murder, robbery, burglary, statutory burglary and grand larceny were entered into the record."
