Fairfax County firefighters got stuck in a sinkhole Tuesday morning.
The truck became stuck in the 1400 block of Filene Court in Vienna, Va., after firefighters responded to a resident's call saying his home was flooded.
Homeowner Mike O'Brien said he woke up to find a river flowing through the basement of his home, so he called the fire department for help. A nearby water main was shut off, stopping the flow of water.
When the fire truck tried to leave the scene, however, the front wheels fell into a sinkhole that opened up in the middle of the cul-de-sac.
A large tow truck had to pull the truck out. No one was injured, but there was damage to the front of the fire engine.
