News4’s Derrick Ward has a look at a string of shootings that happened in the District over the last week.
A teen girl was injured after a gunman fired numerous shots at different people in southwest Washington Friday night.
Metropolitan police said they were called to P Street, Southwest, shortly before 6 p.m. for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found a 14-year-old girl who had been shot once in the leg.
She was transported to the hospital and is in good condition.
Police said several apartment windows were also struck. The gunman fled in a car south on South Capitol Street.
