A local student says she was raped during a party in a hotel room in Manassas, Virginia, police say.
A group of teens were drinking alcohol at the hotel on the 7300 block of Old Centreville Road on Sunday, April 15, police said. At some point after 3 a.m., the victim told police that one of the teens sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious.
The girl reported the assault to a school resource officer a couple of days later.
On April 19, police arrested a 17-year-old and charged him with rape and object sexual penetration.
He is being held at a juvenile detention center, police said.
Police would not say if the teens at the hotel were partying after prom.
