A Tardy Note for Caps Fans Running Late to Work

Chopper4 flew over D.C.’s Chinatown where thousands of Caps fans crowded together to watch Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Did you stay up late celebrating the Washington Capitals' Stanley Cup win last night?

If you're running late to work Friday morning, D.C.'s Deputy Mayor Kevin Donahue is offering an assist.

Donahue tweeted a funny tardy note signed by the DC Government that fans can fill out and present to their employer. Note: It's not a real note.

The slip says in part, "Due to the #ALLCAPS victory last night, your valued employee was Rocking the Red and being DCProud well past a reasonable hour."

It also asks for a sick day in advance for a victory parade happening next week, though that hasn't been confirmed.
