Students Speak as Matthew Shepard Is Interred in DC

As Matthew Shepard’s ashes were interred at Washington National Cathedral on Friday, a number of high school students attended. They weren’t alive when Shepard was tortured and left to die in 1998 for being gay. But they said his death changed their lives. News4’s Cory Smith reports.
