Service Restored on Portion of Red Line

Riders on Metro's busiest line may have to set aside some extra time Monday morning after a track problem shut down a portion of the line temporarily.

Train service on the Red Line was suspended for about an hour between the Grosvenor and Friendship Heights stations.

Metro says a track problem outside the Medical Center station caused the temporary closure.

Service has since been restored. Riders should expect residual delays.
