‘I'm Coming to Fill a Need': Retirees Work With Kids Through Fairfax County Program

When senior citizens pair up with children, magic happens, according to participants in the GrandInvolve program in Fairfax County. Nearly 160 seniors participate in the program. One fifth-grade girl said she appreciates the attention. “It’s nice having someone older, because I just think she’s wise,” she told News4’s Julie Carey. Go here to learn how you can get involved.
