Schools Face New Obstacles in Building Maintenance

As more schools close again due to the spread of the coronavirus, the surge is raising new worries about an old problem: the condition of school buildings. A review of internal reports from leaders in D.C., Maryland and Virginia shows maintenance backlogs were a problem long before the pandemic began.
