Severe Storms Stir Virginia, Maryland

Storm Team4’s Somara Theodore has the forecast for what’s looking like a wet week.

A number of severe storm warnings -- including a tornado warning -- stirred parts of Maryland and Virginia on Mother's Day.

The National Weather Service warned of thunderstorms in parts of Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Prince George's and Prince William counties, among others.

A tornado warning was briefly in effect in part of Culpeper County.

As of late Sunday, all warnings and watches had expired.

Keep your umbrella and raincoat out as you prepare for the week. Showers are set to continue every day, with the heaviest rains expected on Wednesday.
