Right-to-Die Advocates Lobby DC Lawmakers

Supporters of the Death With Dignity Act urged members of the D.C. Council on Thursday to allow terminally ill patients with less than six months to live be prescribed medication that would allow them to die. News4’s Mark Segraves spoke with supporters and opponents, who said “suicide is never a solution.” A woman with incurable cancer said the law could give her a “dignified death.”
