Pr. George's Police Look For Clues In Capitol Heights Killing

A murder investigation in Prince George’s County after a 71-year-old woman is found dead inside her Capitol Heights home. Darcy Spencer has the latest on the investigation.

Police in Prince George's County will be canvassing a Capitol Heights neighborhood Sunday afternoon in response to the killing of a 71-year-old woman.

Investigators say that Geraldine Joyce McIntyre, of the 1200 block of Chapel Oaks Drive, was found with trauma to her upper body at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday. McIntyre was later pronounced dead a local hospital.

Authorities have released a description of a possible suspect in the case. He is described as a man between 30 and 45 years old, standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches with a slim build and dark complexion. Police say this suspect may have been wearing a dark brown or black leather jacket, a black skull cap, and black pants. He may have also been carrying a black bag.
