Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of man early Saturday in Clinton, Md.
Prince George’s County police said Darius Trey Turner, 18, of Brandywine, Md., was standing in a Shoppers Food Warehouse parking lot in the 6300 block of Coventry Way where he and some friends were waiting to meet more friends after a party when a dark-colored car approached.
Police said Darryl Adamson, Jr., 19, was a passenger in the car and opened fire on Turner, striking and killing him.
"I got a phone call from my son's best friend, and he was like, 'Ma, Trey has been shot,'" said Travina Salmond, Turner's mother.
Adamson was arrested Saturday at his home in Clinton. He is charged with first-degree murder, accused of firing the shots from the car, and is currently being held at the Department of Corrections.
"I believe he and my son had a run-in in the past," Salmond said. "I'm talking about years ago."
Darius was a recent graduate who was considering computer school.

"This is just a senseless act," Turner's father said.
Police are still seeking information about the car. It is described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan with dark-tinted windows.
"If there are any other witnesses or anyone else that is involved with this, especially with this dark-colored sedan, yes, we're asking for anyone to come forward," Officer Nicole Hubbard said.
