Police Investigate Shooting, Stabbing in Seat Pleasant

Seat Pleasant police are investigating a shooting and a stabbing they say are unrelated. Shomari Stone spoke with the chief.

Police are investigating a stabbing and a shooting in Seat Pleasant, Maryland.

Seat Pleasant police first reported a shooting in the area of the 600 block of Birchleaf Avenue.

About an hour later, police reported a stabbing in the 5700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway.

Seat Pleasant Police Chief Devan Martin said the incidents are not related and there is no threat to the community.

Martin said police have developed information about suspects.

There is no word on victims.
