A Christmas Eve party led to a fight, and then murder. Police have arrested a suspect and as News4’s Jackie Bensen shows us from Falls Church, investigators say the suspect chased down the victim before he killed him.

Police responding to the report of a fight at a home in the Falls Church, Virginia area early Christmas Day found a man dead on the ground outside.

Edgar Armando Serrano, 23, of Annandale, was found with trauma to the upper body, said Eddy Azcarate of Fairfax County Police.

Later Friday, police said they had charged Santos Narcisco Osorio, 34, of Falls Church, with homicide.

Police said the victim and suspect were together at a party in the 7700 block of Camp Alger Avenue. Shortly after 4 a.m. Friday, a fight broke out.

Serrano ran away, and Osorio chased him, police said. Osorio caught up with Serrano in the 7600 block of Trail Run Road, a residential area just off Arlington Boulevard, police said.

Police said Osorio assaulted Serrano, then fled.

Osorio was arrested at his home at about 4 p.m. Friday.
