Peruvians Head to Polls in Falls Church

Expect heavy traffic in Falls Church, Virginia, on Sunday as many in the area are voting in a presidential election for a South American country.

Thousands of Peruvians in the Washington, D.C., area are casting their ballots for their home country's presidential election at two schools in Falls Church. The Peruvian government rented out the spaces to use as polls.

Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School, at 7130 Leesburg Pike, and George Mason High School, at 7124 Leesburg Pike, is the location for the Peruvian polls.

City of Falls Church and Fairfax County police are coordinating plans for keeping traffic moving.

The polls are open until 7 p.m. Sunday.
