Parents' Civil Rights Work Inspired DC Man Raised in the Movement

The Commitment March stands on the shoulders of iconic civil rights marches throughout American history — namely the 1963 March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech, both of which had a tremendous impact on American life. As civil rights leaders were making history, one little boy in D.C. was being inspired. Eddie Hailes Jr. was raised in the movement and destined to join the fight.
