Orange Line riders saw their evening commutes delayed again in Arlington.
Before 7 p.m. Wednesday, a switch malfunction at the Rosslyn Metro Station caused delays in both directions.
Rosslyn, of course, is where an overwhelming crowd formed Tuesday evening after service was disrupted when a man was struck by a train at Clarendon.
Escalators automatically shut off at Rosslyn under the weight of riders exiting the station. That led to people experiencing fatigue trying to ascend the escalators.
A man described 45 minutes of being jam packed in the station with people pushing and shoving. A woman said her commute was delayed at least two hours.
Metro said Wednesday it was investigating what it could do to better respond to a rush hour disruption in that area.
