One Year Later, No Arrests in Arlington Double Murder

News4’s Shomari Stone spoke with family members of two men found shot and killed inside an Arlington, Va. apartment one year ago. Police have made no arrests and say they do not have any leads.

A year has passed since 31-year-old Carl Moten and 59-year-old Keefe Spriggs were found dead at an Arlington apartment.

Police responded to Spriggs' apartment in the 1900 block of North Culpeper Street at 10 a.m. Aug. 7 where the two men's bodies were found by a maintenance man.

Tuesday night, about a 100 friends and family of the victims gathered to demand justice in their loved ones' deaths.

"It's terrible. My 2-year-old has to grow up without a father," Moten's wife told News4's Shomari Stone Tuesday. "[Police] are not telling us anything."

Springs was a retired automechanic and Moten was a cook at a local restaurant.

"I want them to turn themselves in and tell me why they did it," Spriggs' mother Ethel Spriggs said.
