One person was seriously injured after a crash in the westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge in Maryland Monday afternoon.
Crews were dispatched to the bridge just after 4 p.m. about a mile and a half from the western shore. A van traveling east collided with a pick-up truck hauling a large trailer traveling west.
The driver of the van was taken to shock trauma in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pick-up was also injured, but not seriously.
Officials said the cause of the accident has not been determined. The bridge has since reopened in both directions.
