Two Dead After NW DC Double Shooting

Police said one man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was taken to the hospital, but there is no word on his condition. News4’s Derrick Ward reports.

Two men were killed in a double shooting in northwest Washington early Sunday morning, according to police.

The Metropolitan Police Department said officers were called to the 4800 block of Kansas Avenue, Northwest, around 2 a.m. They found two men who had been shot.

Police said one man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was taken to the hospital; he died of his wounds Tuesday.

The victims are Juan Carlos Osorio-Herrera, 24, and David Santiago Amaya-Medrano, 23, both of Northwest D.C. Police are still investigating the circumstances behind the shooting.
